    ... middle of nowhere. Adam finds his dream lunch of a sloppy dish filled with beans, potatoes and huge smelly sausage. I find mine, blueberry strudel. Life is so good! Apparently every Slovenian lunch must start with a shot of the local Grappa. The ride home was much easier.

    ... held ransom for €20,000 fee by the restorer, I am sure there is a story behind that! We now have 40 minutes to walk around have coffee or ice cream and take photos before heading off through the higher Bohinj valley through some tiny and picturesque Alpine villages. It is a lovely drive, but I am not sure the villagers whose houses we barely miss a lot of the time and who get nothing out of us would be keen to have us if anyone asked! One ...

We have lunch again at the Park Cafe on the waterfront before retiring to our shady balcony to rest a while before walking round to St Martin's church which overlooks the lake up in the village.     ... but as we got a good deal we expected that, we have a pleasant balcony overlooking next doors trees and crazy golf so it is perfectly adequate. Our only gripe is that the lake rooms not only have a stunning view, they are also the only rooms with air con! we ask for a fan and get it, no chance of a move the hotel is full, so hopefully it won't be too hot.
