A travel blog entry by familymojo on Jan 06, 2015

Had a wonderful afternoon exploring Castillo de Sant Barbara (hugecastle/fort at the top of hill in Alicante) and listening to some of the 3 Reyes (3 Kings/Wisemen) festivities from the top of the castle. Tonight the 3 Kings (Wisemen) arrive! There were huge celebrations here in Spain. We could hear a marching band and see signs of a parade and huge crowds from the top of the castle. Later we saw on TV lots of celebrations all over Spain with kings and beautifully dressed women ...

We're preparing to return to Sweden...just in time for a little winter weather and of course one of the nicest times of the year, Jul.

We've said goodbye to our Spanish friends, warning them that we would return next year. We can't survive the WHOLE Swedish winter after all!

Since my last blog we've been busy with the usual activities. We've been hiking, wine tasting, learning a bit of Spanish while helping our Spanish speaking friends to improve ...

We entered the Cathedral (8.00 Euros pp) ...

At sea just off Alicante

... lunch. Got a few dances after dinner and then up for the syndicate quiz. The question master was not one of the usual people and her questions were rubbish. Suffice to say the winning score was 11/20 and it was not us. The normal winner score has been 16+. Now looking forward to getting ashore in Tangiers. We hope the captain is using a different navigational map from the one showing on the TV in the cabins. The map shows Tangiers almost in ...

... painting class in about an hour. We had a wonderful lunch with friends from Sweden and Norway yesterday here at Casa Largo Vida and the day before we had a belated birthday celebration with another friend. We are playing tennis on Sunday with English friends and this evening we will meet with our Bilingual Friends in El Campello. As you can see the routine isn't too boring, lots of friends and fun.

Hope you are enjoying the same!
