Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

... concert from our hotel room-this time harp and violin. At 5 we boarded our bus and visited a family outside of town. They live in a 16th century house that they are restoring. After a tour of the house and yard we were treated to tea and cookies and a violin concert! Back to town, dinner in a cave, our first authentic Budweiser beer (not the American variety) and off to bed.

... br> The waiter was straight to us once the beers were finished to see if we wanted another (silly question really) and so the next round came.

A band arrived and set up next to us and proceeded to belt out some (I assume) traditional Czech tunes, certainly the locals were digging their unique brand of good vibe music and we were getting into the groove too.

Our mains arrived and we both agreed the food was without a doubt the best we've had on our trip ...

... and watch the bears in the castle moat, take in the view of the town from the castle tower, and spend time relaxing in the castle gardens, before having a look through all the winding cobblestone back streets of Cesky to see what treasures we could find. Day 154 : A night with some real gypsies

... as they watched us quizzically, and got on with their daily gypsy activities, people entered and left the site, a bungalow party broke out, yelling matches ensued at 3am and other kinds of hijinx. Our sleeping bags were slightly damp after the experience. A night to remember and a campsite to avoid in the future.
