... for the driver, so I called the hotel and they organised for a taxi to pick us up from Jane's tot my hotel, where the car was waiting for us. It was all very rushed and Jane had left her phone behind at her cousins, luckily she noticed this pretty quickly so the taxi driver turned around pronto and we were on our way again. Rome airport is huge, many minutes of walking, then the computer train to Terminal G, still no gate assigned and I was in need of lunch. I got a ...

... Return to Split to get our rental car & take the evening ferry was somewhat marred by a sudden rainstorm, as Dick was picking up the car & I was waiting at a table by the docks with our luggage. He had to leave the car in the busy thoroughfare to claim our remaining luggage. We loaded it in the traffic & rain, left it at the car ferry cue & had a final pizza, fish pate ...

... spoken here. We had over 3 hours to wander around Zagreb and there were some lovely buildings and parks. The bus took 5 hours through ever changing scenery whilst playing lively Croatian music. We arrived in Split at 6pm. It is a lively city on the sea. There were 2 large ferries leaving for Italy and people everywhere. The water front esplanade was full of outdoor cafes, market stalls and tourists. Our hotel was hard to find, it is the oldest hotel in Spit and lies within the old ...

... spot to start the star raft! We were first there, and Jens spent most of the morning helping other yachts raft up around us until we had made a big circle of boats. We all jumped in the middle with our floaties and drinks. The Texas boys we met the night before got their dingy in the water, and we managed to pile 20 people into an inflatable boat built for 6! Jens took my camera and climbed up the mast of one of the bigger yachts, and took some incredible photos of our awesome ...

    ... went crazy!
Later the place started to get packed. DJ played all my favorite dance songs, and I just went for it!

There was this guy, dancing as if he's in his own world -- almost professional-level moves. Just for fun, I danced with him and we got into a friendly mini-battle. It was awesome -- but I was exhausted. I just can't compete with someone probably almost half my age!!! But... Love, love, love, loved it!!!

Danced till past 1:30AM -- again!
