46 kms.... AM - Another wonderful breakfast choice in our 4**** hotel, what else! The rain had gone, as predicted, and the sky was clear and sunny as we headed out of Brno. Left town through a seedy looking suburban area, I guess most cities have these areas. We followed a cycle track, sealed, along a small creek which we rode for kilometres until we reached a beautiful forest area, that clean, alpine ...

40 Kms.... AM - We had the morning to look around Mikulov, which was a quaint little village. Had a look at the village square then the castle on the hill (no princess's in there today Adele)! Took a guided tour of the castle with English language headphones, the whole complex was set on fire by the Germans as they left at the end of WW2 so the interior has been redone but is not genuine. This cave was very beautiful and you climb up through the cave then descend down to the bottom of the Macocha Abyss. This is spectacular as you look up towards the top (where we later visited). The 2nd half of the tour takes you on a boat ride through the cave and there is not much head room. The temperature inside the caves id ...

... Martin laughed as he described how strange it was cycling down the hill towards a white square of light shining directly at him. He had no idea what it was or what was going on. Oh dear I am giggling out loud as I write this. It was so funny, Paul and I jumped so high and Paul swore so loud hahahahaha. I think we were a little freaked out from the walk. As we all walked up the hill Martin told us we were lucky we didn't stumble across some of the wild pigs in the area that they ...
