... body a whole workout. At the same place was the Elephant Trekking. Paul and Rob were on one elephant (Lady Ga Ga) and Mark and I were on Coconut. Coconut was 10 years old and a beautiful creature. This has been a highlight of our trip. Tonight we did the Muay Thai boxing at Patong stadium. The first round was 13year old boys. ... today we had tropical fruit buffet, with dragon fruit, Dorian ,mangosteens , longtans, star fruit and many more cannot remember and some that I want to forget ( spat one out).

Formal night again tonight, and will be having lobster for dinner - very difficult not to eat.

We arrive in Maldives on Wednesday, with quite a few more sea days after that, due to missing Egyptian ports.

Off now to lunch, BBQ barramundi, scallops ,calamari, salmon and ...

... smallest things can be an adventure. This was a holiday because there was nothing in the world we needed to worry about. No bartering, crowds, mess or stress. Just an escape from the world. We began to refer to the resort complex as “the bubble” and the rest of the world as “the outside.”

Of course this came at a price. We were asked if we wanted to hire a long-tail boat for the day for 2,400 baht - each. This was half-price.

... restaurants as we have been adventurous with the street food sellers food which is mostly BBQ food cooked while you wait and copious amounts of fruit shakes and Chang Beer! At night it's a pretty crazy party scene and we've enjoyed just wandering from street to street taking it all in, Em made another friend of the furry variety (see pics) - one animal we didn't expect to see out here. 3 nights here is enough for us and Patong gets the thumbs ...
