You pay once you're at the top of the narrow spiral staircase, and then you have to climb a ladder to get outside for the real view. At the top of the ladder you squeeze through a tiny door (it's a little awkward) and then BAM you're outside and way above the main market square! ... be coming home with me!) We went back to our room for a while, then decided to try to find a supermarket. That meant we had to go outside the wall. We climbed up some very old, very steep stairs, some of which are worn in the middle from centuries of feet, and walked along the city wall. It is stone, is covered, and the outer part has only gun and arrow slits. The inner side has a wooden rail, and looks out over the terra cotta tiled roofs of ...

... it was just not happy with all that mineral water! After lunch we had about 2 hours to wander about and do some shopping. Something kind of funny happened after lunch. There were two people in our
group from Oman. They were very nice, but I noticed they seemed to be
doing that watch, but don't watch with Kerri and I- finally the wife
straight out asked if we were friends or "together"! I cracked up. We headed ...
