... The river was really neat to see, as were the houses. The view up from the valley floor was incredible as well. This was a quick little part of our day, but worth mentioning!

... I was able to sneak a few in before I saw that sign. The biggest room was about three stories high with a massive Christmas tree covered in over 1000 glass bulb ornaments. Even the ceiling was covered in Christmas decorations!

We then had to have chocolate crepes for dessert - yummy!
After walking and enjoying the markets & town some more, we headed back to our hotel. We left the town by a different exit, so were a little lost for a while. Thanks to Meg's great navigational skills (which she clearly didn't get from her mother) we made it back safely.

We met our fellow tour members, and about 100 strangers, back in the town square for the Night Watchman's tour of the city. A delightful fellow, in period costume and with a lantern and halberd, humorously shared history about his city while showing us some of the sites. ... hated the Eiffel Tower, but ate frequently at the restaurant, and when asked why he stated "because it is the only place from which I cannot see it". You would have to live in this place to not have to look at it. I couldn't even take a picture of it!
