Long have I obssessed over monkeys, but to gaze upon such creatures in the wild should be any man's dream (unless a man has a selfie stick, which beats everything).

... involves running the gauntlet of local store owners, each of whom want to sell you the same tat you don’t really want or need, and this gets annoying after a very short amount of time. There are also lots of beggars, far too many young children sent out to sell stuff to tourists all day long, and more timeshare touts attempting to "not sell you anything" than any one place needs.

The truth is, our attitude has ...

... sitting at the beach watching the fishermen before trying to find another way back....which we eventually did but I think I we must have walked the whole length of the town! After our dinner that night we stopped at a bar close to our hotel for some rather cheap beers and cocktails. A great live band kept us entertained - they covered songs perfectly, and sung everyone's song requests. During their break the lead singer came to sit with us, so Pete bought him ...
