      Good Enough

Simple accommodation just steps from the pier, but far enough from the bars for a quiet night's rest. Nothing fancy, but decent value for overpriced Ko Phi Phi - good enough if you're just looking for a cheaper, clean place to stay, without much in the way of amenities.

Going to Victoria Falls last winter was one of the most unforgettable travel experiences we have had, and it was so good that we went back there for a day trip today. So how exactly did we manage to travel all the way to Africa from Thailand, just for a single day? Well, it's because we went there only in my mind, in a feverish delusion, when today …

Getting mugged last night was definitely a most difficult experience, but things got even harder today - trying to file a police report without being able to speak a single word of Thai! We hoped that this would be a relatively simple process (for Thailand, at least), and made our way to the Tourist Police office to try and figure out what steps we …

While Thailand is World renowned for its beaches, with Ko Phi Phi considered to be one of its best, there really is something off about this island - it represents the truly ugly side of travel. Our bad experiences of the past few days have no doubt coloured our opinion of Ko Phi Phi, but forgetting about that for a moment, I truly believe that it' …

I have not seen Mona and Penny for a while and to think that we meet again after all this time in Thailand is great!
Unfortunately the weather is not keeping up with our good mood and the tropical rain continues getting very heavy at times.

... was still milk and I was more than happy to drink it! Because it cleared up quite quickly we decided to hire the scooter for another day in order to find another adventure. Upon leaving the hotel the was a cow in a bush which I had not noticed before and wondered how I hadn't?! It was a funny sight to see! We decided to head to the National Park towards the bottom of the island. The roads were amazing! Up and down and up and down, the steepest we saw was a 19% gradient. It really did ...
