    ... swimming now. We tried to get SIM cards for our phones yesterday, no easy task in India. You have to provide your passport and visa, and two passport photos and fill out some paperwork, and it costs 1000rupees, which is roughly $20nzd. Then it was NEW YEARS EVE. We had some beers at our hostel then took a taxi to a party our hostel had organised in Anduna. It was nice with long tables set up and lots of lights strung around.     ... back down from the Fort the sun made a little appearance for a couple of hours so we decided to sit on the beach for a while and soak up the rays. When putting on the sun cream on the beach we discovered that we were already slightly burnt, by 5pm Ange looked like a tomato with white lines, oops! That night we went to dinner at The Mango Tree in Vagator, had a couple of beers, watched the cricket on tv and had potentially the best curry ...

    ... ridden friend following us!! I blame jack... He always seems to attract the stray dogs! It's not the first time!!! This time the moto's buzzing passed scared it off so we didn't have to do the job!!

    Anyway not a lot else happened today - the heavens opened around 3pm and hasn't stopped since so we've just been chilling and reading / been out for food!

    Moving to North Goa

    ... of a cliff/hill overlooking a really nice beach. We bartered a room rate to a little more than we wanted to pay but feel it was worth it being in such a great location. Later on we decided to walk around to find a supermarket, we ended up calling in a local bakery for some sandwiches, pastries & pop. Also picked up a pineapple from the fruit market.
