Days 21-23, Beautiful Banff
... picnic site set in a lovely glade of trees with a trickling creek running through it. It was very cold, but bright and sunny too. We also bumped into a herd of Deer, skittish and alert but so sweet with their beautiful doe eyes. We drove back to Banff town and drove to see the Fairmont Banff. On the Piste
... saw us hit the shops in search of discounted ski and board equipment. We tried on some different boots and chatted to staff to gleen as much information as possible. We decided to see what we can find during our shopping trip to Calgary and return to Banff if needed. The beauty of Lake Louise
... in the middle. two mountains on either side, and the lake itself was blue as blue can be. Pictures I have seen of this place for years did not disappoint. We took pictures, went for a little walk and just looked on in awe. We heard what we had though was thunder a few times. We found out it was avalanches of the glacier next to Lake Louise. The pictures we have taken don’t do this place justice. It is breathtaking!

Why so expensive Canada?
... but Boo is too habituated to humans to ever go back to the wild. Not so successful then.
The skilift was pretty cool actually, you got amazing views of the mountains. If only the rafting wasn't a massive rip off, it looked much more fun. Ah well. If I hadn't gone in Costa Rica I would have been all over it, but it was twice the price for half the time! Plus this one required wetsuits, it just wouldn't be the same.
