We hid the presents around the house for her.

She got Frozen dolls, makeup set and other clothes. She was certainly happy.

We walked around town.

This town is known for healing water and spas.

The healing water is disgusting. It is 72 degress hot.

That is the hottest I saw.

Dad drank most of it.

I had 1 sip.

It was amazing to see your daughter with a smile that lights up her face, in a princess horse and carriage, while playing Frozen, Let it Go song on the iphone.
Priceless!
We finished up our stay with a funicular tram ride up to a great observation tower overlooking the town.
There was a cute, mini zoo that the kids enjoyed feeding the few animals ...

  • I checked out of the hostel but decided to stay in the city a couple more days as I hadn't seen any of it yet.
  • I checked into a hotel down the road. It was pretty cheap, only 29 Euro per night.

So after a very late night last night it was up early today to head out for a 9 1/2 hour excursion. We were headed to the spa town of Karlovy Vary- about 20 kilometers from the German border. The town was originally settled by Germans but now is heavily populated by Russians. There are 16 mineral water springs in the town, in addition to the many hotels and "sanitariums" where one can bathe in the mineral spring water. Each tap has ...
