... this point- and also really hot! We found the Jamek mosque, which was beautiful and a couple of other interesting buildings. We decided to head back to the hotel for a midday cool down. On the way back I couldn't help but buy a few local snacks!! I got Durian cream puffs, durian is the national fruit of Malaysia, so I thought I'd better try it but he puffs were savoury and disgusting. I also bought a hoc plate lava bun from a Chinatown stall- god, these bad boys ...

... and had our fill of popiahs (like a giant spring roll), satay, nasi lemak (Malaysia's national dish of fried chicken and rice), radish cake and Cendol (shaved ice with coconut milk, pandan jelly, beans, sweet corn and palm sugar - much tastier than it sounds).
We had a wander through the town the next day, spending ages watching the enormous water monitors in the river and staring incredulously at the hideously garish tricycles ...

... Order and The Stone Roses.
It is a three day event in KL with different acts each day. We had the option to buy a 3 day pass or simply choose our favourite line up and get a 1 day pass which most of us did.

It was all going so well on the last day which was the day we all had tickets for, everybody got dressed in Animal outfits using body paint to complete the jungle theme of the festival, we all got the train there and had been drinking since 10am only to find out ...

... more then a few stops, I got off at the... yes, really... Petronas Towers! It was cool to see them up close, even though the smog doesn't make it gorgeous. You couldn't go up, because of the limited amount of tickets they sell and the fact that you have to get in line at like 7AM to get one... But that's fine... I have proof I've been there :D I walked through the KL City Park and decided I could do one fun thing today ...
