... to the KL Tower ready for dinner. It is a huge tower and had a restaurant up the top that revolves 360 degrees so we could see all the views. Luckily we had booked for 6.30pm so we saw the city at sunset and all the lights of nighttime. It was amazing and so peaceful. The dinner was superb, it was served as buffet style and had all different cuisines.
We caught a cab back to the hostel and got ready for the next day. ...

After the eight hour layover in Turkey, we had a one night stop-over in Kuala Lumpur. I've been to KL three times in 4 years, because it is such an important air travel hub. It changes dramatically every time I'm there--the construction is so rapid in the city that it makes it hard to find your way around. But most importantly, Kuala Lumpur has now closed the old Low Cost Carrier Terminal and opened a new terminal for the cheap airlines (mostly, Air Asia) ...

I'm only in the middle of my undergraduate career and everyone around me including the only other intern have masters degrees and along with real work experience. ... out to Malacca, where we went to the beach. We ate a delicious, traditional meal (nyonya), which included fish-head soup and a traditional bean sno cone type dessert with sugar cane. We had time to wander the old town which has a mixture of architecture from Portugal, China, and Malaysia. We wandered the markets and had a beer before heading back to KL.
