Eaton Smart Transit hotel Dehli Airport
I'm 1 month in and I keep telling myself i'm officially a traveller. My backpack is somewhere in bangkok, I have a 3 week old beard, no clean clothes, a small vial of aftershave in one pocket and toilet roll in the other. I insisted we stop at India Gate to take pictures for my friend Alan who is a war memorial buff. This is an incredible memorial, huge with the names of all the fallen Indian soldiers, forced to fight for the Britishers, as our guide called them. You will note in the pictures that there are soldiers guarding the memorial and others standing at attention ...
In a city closed to tourists
... Florence Inn tomorrow. Wifi meant 2 more blogs up and 5 uploads of pix. Went for a walk at 1600, no other tourists in sight. An evening street market was being set up, reminiscent to me of the coming to life of the great square in Marrakesh. All of India was on sale as I munched on a roll of Life Savers from God knows how many Christmases ago.
Readied for the final group farewell dinner, a tip ...
