Protests are held by both sides, some wanting the government reinstated calling this a judicial coup while the other side demanding resignation of the whole government cabinet. Streets are blocked everywhere and the central city is at a stand still. Bank on three to four times the wait to get anywhere by road.

... temples, when I only wanted to see the Palace!! Finally we got there, after a trip to the 'tourist information' shop that we didn't want, which was actually a tour shop!!!! The palace was totally worth the wait!!! Photos just don't do its opulence justice, every surface was cover in gold paint, mosaic or ornate paintings! Definitely worth a visit! Next stop, Koh Panghan, for Full Moon Party!!!!! Well after an 8 hour bus ride and a two hour ferry!! Zzzzz. Big love to you all. R x ...
