    ... the 2nd Century AD by Marcus Aurelius. Its diameter is 315 feet and it can hold 7000 people.

    As you may have noticed we have had some amazing meals here. We had another highlight today. We stopped for lunch at a little roadside outdoor restaurant, run by an elderly lady and her daughter-in-law. It serves only crÍpes. You get to see her make the crÍpes and cook them over an outdoor fire. Fantastic! See pictures ...

    Another 5 hours of driving brought us to the Turkish coast and the city of Anatolya. We had to go over the Taurus Mountain range, which looks surprisingly similar to heading to Squaw - lots of rocks and fir trees. The only difference was that every now and then we would see tents with herders and their goats. Other than that, the highway was quite well built and maintained.

    ... made us feel at home. They had a huge garden with a tree house and hens running everywhere. The lady was also growing many things there (grapes, pickle pear, tomatoes, etc) we were picking grapes every time we wanted a snack! We had lunch there (all organic) and waited to cool down because we had to walk a lot (twelve kilometers to be exact). I was sure we were not gonna make it.     Today we travelled from Antalya to Olympos to stay in the tree houses where sail starts tomorrow. We just relaxed and went to the beach here.     ... for a swim as we claimed one of the few beach spots under a tree so we didn't need to worry about sunburn. The water was lovely and warm (except in places were it was freezing) and we had to swim over old ruins to get into the really deep water which had huge rocks in it.
