    Our first stop in Italy involved a love of pizza, a love of gelato and a love story about this broad named Juliet or something. For me, this place became even better second time around.     ... next to a lovely British lady and had a good chat. The
    atmosphere was electric and the setting sublime. Eventually the opera started
    and it was such a spectacular. Four acts, 3x 20 mins intervals, a cast over 150
    people which included singers, dancers, children and horses and donkeys on
    stage. The orchestra and the maestro included about another 100 musicians –
    Wow! The stage setting in the arena was the best stage setting ...

    ... ride and had the most entertaining gondola operator. Standing on the bow doing ballet/dance moves, he lost his footing and almost fell in! He was very friendly and made us laugh!     ... backstreets with practically no tourists, the real Venezia ! We made lots of pictures of course, even if you try not to, it's just too beautiful ! Around 6:30 we walked back about 1:20 to the station and took the regular train back of 8:10 which took us 1:55 but only costs 7.50, so if you have time .....
