We left from Athens at approximately 4pm to arrive at 'the end of the line' of Kalambaka at about 9.30pm. Kalambaka is a small town of only a few thousand, but Meteora only 2km from the town is what everyone has or should go and see!
Remember seeing those monastries isolated and fortified on top of hundreds of metres of sheer cliff and …
To sum up my last few days in Thessaloniki: sleep, eating, a little stroll, more eating, more sleeping - it's been a tough life!! Lucky for me, my roommate was an Australian backpacker named Kellie. We got along really well, and kept each other company for the last 3 days. We were both a little tired of travelling (I know you must all be rolling …

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Paid 45.00 euro for a private room which was clean and spacious. A great breakfast was included and would recommend anyone to stay there, not sure about prices during peak season however. Great location as well
