I don't love the whole language barrier thing, although generally people speak English very well I didn't want to tackle travelling to Bruge, not understanding the signs, driving on the wrong side of the road and the others had said they weren't overly impressed, besides, Thomas was going to keep saying Mannequin Pis so we should at least see it, so we headed out armed with a map and the boys. ... for a one hour stopover. Belgium - the country famous for lace doilies and beer. We settled for the latter and a glass of Kwak, which has already set the bar very high for the 'most interestingly presented beer'. Sat outside in the sunshine at the Grand Place. Marvellous start!
