Realising that we still hadn't had the other 2 Belgium inventions worthy of note (waffles and frites and mayonnaise), after the tour had finished we went to the best waffle and best frites places recommended by the guides. We quickly head to a shop nearby to buy some hats for a friend then check out with a taxi ordered. We still have the ...

It was hard to find on a quiet backstreet - but on opening the door into the brewery , inside it was full of noisy people sampling, touring and chatting. We dragged the children around a self guided brewery tour; the brewery uses all "natural " techniques to make their beer which meant that the ...

... get there and we were a little lost along the canals at the end.....went shopping again with Claire when we came home and this time we were more successful using 2 pairs of flats. We had supper to ight at Le Duy aVietmases restaurant near Claire's old apt. We shared a Pho and curry and Lumpia which were all very yummy. The owner even treated us to some Saki on the house. Now we are having some ice ice cream and tea and watching stupid Dutch ...
