Arriving in Basel
We arrived earlier this afternoon in Basel. Flight delayed 30 minutes leaving Houston so had to run to catch plane in Frankfurt. A 0600 am wake up was on the cards today for our little day trip to Zermatt, a village in the alps at the foot of the Matterhorn the famous and highest mountain peak in Switzerland. Switzerland - Day 12
... three different types of salads...fresh greens is something we have been hanging out for! There was also an amazing bottle of Italian red wine shared between Petra and myself while Tommy had a unique and unknown beer known as Heineken.
We had such a lovely time and enjoyed having Petra's company and sharing stories over dinner and wine, the hospitality she has provided is amazing. We could not wait to wake up in our favorite Winter Wonderland ...
