On the pier by 9:30 getting ready to join four other couples for the day's adventure Our boat was a 30' open runabout with a cuddy cabin, bedroom and a head forward. With twin diesels it cruised at 30 mph effortlessly. Our captain must do this run all the time. His boat handling g (without crew) was superb. He took us towards Capri close to ...

... s walls. Again a HUGE swimming pool just for us! Not a soul to share it with. There is a an old city as well, high on the hill behind our village and we drove up to it after dinner not just for the magnificent view, but to see the olf village all restored magnificently and originally built in the 16th century. Now that was the jewel!..... Next time!!!

As a geography geek at heart I am fascinated by the volcano's eruption and the sheer ...

... views. If you were scared of heights you would hate it as we clung o the edge of the cliff faces and hurtled around corners. The drivers jut rely on honking their horns to alert on coming traffic. We spent many a moment reversing to allow another bus or van around a bend. I was dying to get to the toilet so could not focus as much as I would have liked on the view. Was relieved to get to Amalfi in one ...

... seen Eat Pray Love, we went to the same pizzeria as Julia Roberts. It's the best and first pizza place in Naples and boy, it did not disappoint. That was the only good thing about Naples, the city was really dirty so we left immediately after. We took an hour long subway to Sorrento and a 45 minute bus to Praiano and arrived at our hotel in the Amalfi Coast!! We've had one full day here but I'll wait until my next entry to fill you in on its ...
