    ... when it got busy, I had a fun day, it was nice to do something different. When we were all back at the cafe we prepared fresh sandwiches for the show and made sure other things were ready, we packed up the car and headed for the house! Drue and Chris treated us to a pizza takeaway which was awesome (thanks guys!!) and we kicked back and relaxed for the remainder of the evening. We watched the film 'Bad Neighbours' before calling it a night around 10pm! ...

    ... and admired story bridge for a while. I took leech to gilhooleys the Irish pub next but unfortunately there was no Irish dancing on today so we had our gin and tonic and got on our way. Spent more time at pony chatting, drinking and generally enjoying brisbane lifestyle before wandering back to our delightful (not) hostel. We both crashed straight away seen as it had been an 18 hour very exciting day and didn't wake up till 9 the next day. Day two of brisbane ...

    Ok ok that may not be an exact quote!

    Allan very gingerly drilled in the Mercedes Benz and drilled the first hole. As our friends kept saying 'after the first hole it will be easy'. Well with the first hole away he soon had 24 holes drilled.

    ... the end of our road trip by opening the bottle of wine we had bought earlier on from the vineyard in the Hunter Valley. Several days of the wine rolling around in the back of the car had taken its toll, and as soon we began opening the bottle the cork exploded into the roof of the motel!

    ... there following the phone message to say it had been despatched. But at least we were going to have a working TV when we got home after 6 weeks of non-TV life.
