Matt and I went for a walk to the Midland hotel, back along the seafront, through Morecambe village. We had and Irish and Bailey's coffee and then braved the icy 1 degree conditions on the way back...to the mayhem of family dinner.
... was one of the people who had helped the magician with one of his tricks, and she brought along the souvenir he’d given her; an empty Coca Cola bottle with a 10p piece in it. But the 10p was bigger than the neck of the bottle, and the bottle hadn’t been broken. So how the magician got it in there is a complete mystery.
We scored 17/20 in the quiz, and had to take a tie-breaker with three other teams. We didn’t win. :-(

Our friends and family say we are mad. They can think of no other explanation as to our choice of holiday destination. After all, northern Britain in November – a month where autumn hovers uncertainly at the edge of winter – is cold and dark. So where are we going for our holidays?
