    Travel day :( I have dreaded this day for 18 days. Not because I want to stay in Thailand but b/c of the travel. Up at 3:30 for a 4:30 45min taxi. We had a 1.5 hour flight to Bangkok. Then a 4 our flight to Taiwan. So far that was enough. We circled the airport a few times and we were late. There was no time for food or potty, we ran with our bags to make the flight to LA (this one is a can't miss ) it was delayed a little so we caught our breath and boarded, they did a last min seat ...

    ... and really interesting because it looked like it was used for something a long time ago but we weren't sure what. Afterwards we anchored the boat and got to catch up near a beautiful beach which was nice. Later on, we got back to their house and while dinner was cooking we got to hear how Gerry and my Dad met which was at the Ottawa airport in the 80's which was pretty cool.     ... bay along on a beach called Karon- far more civilised and beautiful with a 3k stretch of beach right on our door step - not too shabby! So the last couple of days have been fairly relaxed getting into a couple of really great books and lapping up the rays- tough life!
