Arrived In Ko Lanta this afternoon, Tickled mans stray toes on the boat : ) Had a quick walk to check out long beach... Lovely!! Me and Bec ate our Pot Noodles well to early into the holiday which we are already regretting!!

... twice a day, get to know them and walk them, hoping they remember us. We are very sad that we have left them there but we are certain that they will receive good care from the inspiring volunteers at Lanta Animal Welfare as it is a non funded fantastic centre will such positive results for the animals. Koh Lanta defiantly held its own against the other more well known islands of Thailand, it is more untouched which is its charm and will forever be special to ...

... and its trunk ...it was exactly how I imagined it. He seemed to be having a good time as well.

After I finished my unusual bath with elephants (there were actually two of them) we went for lunch to a local restaurant where we paid BHT 60 for the main dish and BHT for a delicious shake. It was basically for the first time we had been experiencing the local prices (the south of Thailand is generally more expensive than the north).

... a hostel that's supposed to be really nice, with a lot of people and a big garden where always some of the guests hang around. The hostel is 5 min outside the center and people on the way were already greeting me (everyone using this road is guest of that hostel). There was only a bed in a dorm for me the next day, but for half of the price I could stay in a hammock in the garden already that night, which would be ok for me. But later that night, I found a better place ...

... and watched some people practise fire dancing. The next few days we rented motorbikes again to properly explore the island and as its more or less one main road all around it was really easy although you can't really go all the way around as half of it is a national park. We passed a snake show on the way that was really good - the guy messing with the snakes was actually insane. He had the craziest eyes and was just weird! ...
