      A very small country

... was so delicious! And came topped with some chopped mango, apple, pineapple and a popadom! It was expensive - but everywhere around seemed to be of an equally expensive price. We took a bit of a detour to get back to the hotel and had a walk alongside the river and popped into a coop. The local supermarket chain (different to the English coop). It was packed! But we picked up a couple of bits for tomorrow (and some essential bars of Swiss chocolate!) Even the supermarkets are expensive ...

Finally, after one last tunnel, I pop out in a shallow narrow valley witha stream running next to it. Looks like I'm safe. I decide to do ...

Day 284 4 hrs, 12.5 kms Day Totals: 16 hrs, 37.5 kms In the town of Pfunds up ahead there's supposed to be a hostel and I'm determined to get there tonight. But I still can't pass up the chance to do a quick parkbench concert in the riverside town of Tosens as I pass through. I then find a quiet country path on the other side of the stream and continue my sprint to ...

      1736. Going Shopping

... time again. Prutz is a pretty run of the mill looking town, where I can do some shopping. It looks like a bit of a "base camp" for folks hiking/riding/skiing up in the mountains. In the plaza, a young fellow joins me for my strum session. "How do you like living here?" "There aren't many jobs here--and they're only part time. Also, I have mental problems, so I can't work a lot of ...
