Staying Put & What Makes Me Tick

Don't get me wrong it'd have certainly been preferable if I had got on with my day as planned, saw some cool stuff, taken some photos and learnt a new skill to boot. A little town called Pai and our trip to Laos!!
... case - he would accelerate when turning on hairpin bends! On Mountains! On Cliff Edges!! - it was terrifying to say the least. We told him to slow down a few times but either he didn't understand or he just thought it was funny. One guy who was sat in the back said he smiled in the rear view mirror every time someone yelped with fear so I think he was just enjoying our misery. To be fair he was a good driver but he would drive on the other side of the road ...

We slept in the next day and woke up at 7.30 bus was at 8 but hey ho we dashed about and packed up it was only me and p and another guy called Michael on the bus so plenty of space. It was a 3 and a half our bus drive and not long after setting off there were a whole load of people doing a cycle, hundreds of bikes all over the road think tour de Thailand, not like the driver cared and I think he was trying to run them over. We stopped after about 2 hours for a loo break ...

... you can get your hands on a scooter for literally next to nothing. 24 hours hire only cost us 100 Baht which worked out to be £1 each plus petrol (Again of negligible cost).

The Pai canyon was small in the scale of canyons “& attractions”. It was granite like underfoot & quite slippery to walk on the “ridge like” pathways with only thongs on, so we couldn’t venture too far from the main look out.
