... snow fun parks that the resort had set up. Basically they rustled up all the plastic toys that could carry a kid at high speed down a hill including bikes, blow up toys, and some toboggans for the bigger kids (Stew and I)! Very basic in its design with little care for safety. The best kind of fun!

After our first week, France still had no more snow, nor did anywhere else so we decided to extend our stay for the rest of our trip (another 8 days) and ...

... mountain so we decided to go to the restaurant via the terrain park. JJ wanted to go up the T-bar which had given him problems yesterday. The slope conditions were best described as 'bulletproof' as it had melted yesterday but not seen the sun today. We got on fine until JJ tried to point out where he fell and swung across towards me. Rather than fall I bailed out and told JJ to ski down to me on the slope. JJ got on fine, I got on less so. The off-piste traverse was a bit crunchy and ...

Unfortunately the T-bar caught in his jacket or back protector and he was dragged up the steepest part of the tow. The operator was not watching as JJ covered more than 50m of track and the 20m of the top before the T-bar was stopped. I walked up to him and he was clearly shaken and a little grazed across his stomach. The people behind us on ...

... and the runs at the top were in great condition so we enjoyed cutting fresh tracks on corduroy. It is a great sound as we skied and were able to listen to the buzzing sound of skis over the tiny pisted ridges and being able to look back at our runs. It was so good we did it again! We tried to complete the run a third time but the T-bar had stopped working and showed no sign of starting and the cloud had closed in.

This made the decision for us to ski towards ...

... a different run. JJ wanted to be photographed going through the powder at the side of the run, so I obliged.
After this we were both feeling the effects of the piles of powder on the runs which made the skiing more forced than I prefer. Some of the runs had acquired soft moguls, which were fun to ski, but the heavy piles of snow were too randomly spaced and just made it difficult to get a rhythm going. So we set off for Saas Fee in the valley.
      As we headed ...
