Today after a nice lie in and late breakfast (ah this is the life!) we decided to walk further up the valley along the road to see what we could see. We walked 'up' the mountain along the road and Wanderweg (walking track). We found the road turned into one-way for a short stretch... For 20 min per hour you can go up, 10 min leeway, for next 20 min you can drive down, then ...

... the Lake. Heaps of people were up there, picnicking, swimming, walking. There were cows with cowbells wandering around the track and near the lake. Scenery is amazingly beautiful, grand and majestic! Big mountains all around, gushing snowy river, lovely Swiss wooden houses in the traditional style. Many give the year of ...

Fortunately to was way to small to fall into, but was a clear indication of what was happening below the snow.
We all skied down to the restaurant at mid-mountain and JJ chose not ...

... round again and we would meet at the mid mountain restaurant. I was not keen on this but JJ was insistent, so John and I went up the hill and JJ went down.
The video worked this time so John and I set off for mid mountain. JJ and I would head down and John would look for a partner for the afternoon. JJ and I met up and headed down the gondola and off to the bus station. On the way we met up with the speaker for the week, Gareth, and he and I had a great chat on the journey ...
