Hey everyone!

So we didn't actually go to Tokyo, we just had a layover in the airport but it was super cool. I got to use one of those infamous toilets you always hear about. (The ones with like a ton of buttons) T and I also picked up some kit kats (green tea flower blossom (?), matcha, and strawberry) and some Hi Chew. Hi Chew is a candy kind of like starburst, but better. We also saw some stunning origami work.

... screening, we head to the main concourse and find numerous duty free stores and a food court. The concourse is literally divided in half with partitions in order to segregate arriving international passengers from departing passengers. While it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing sight, it serves its function. We head into the United Club for a quick snack before boarding ...

... Jokanji was relatively bright and cheery, as cemeteries go. It was still in use as a final resting place for members of local families, and there were many new and well-kept grave sites. The relatively simple memorial to the prostitutes was located behind the temple. There was also a long poem written by Kafu Nagai (永井荷風), who was known for writing about the lives of prostitutes and those with similar professions, inscribed in a memorial wall.
