Our bus from Fethiye to Demre, where our 3 night cruise departs, was scheduled to leave at 7:30am. At 7:00 we were out in front of our guesthouse ready to catch the dolmus (mini-bus) to the main bus station. For 20 minutes no bus came along and Sue went in to have the front desk call for a taxi. When she returned, she announced that the mini-buses don't even start ...

... gravel and loose rocks...but not quite...luckily no real harm done to the ankle. Today we visited Saklikent Gorge and watched the ever changing countryside from a local bus full of villagers going about their daily lives. *author Louis De Bernieres was inspired by the story of Kayakoy and wrote "Birds without Wings"...maybe we should have a look at it in ...

... chance, that this is the closest I will feel to having my own child. I don't write that with regret, its will be my choice. So, May 15, 2015, a day on which nothing of significance happened on my trip, my nephew was born! I wish I could share and celebrate this news with someone, but I have no internet or friends on the boat. But I will be in India in a week's time, I am so glad I planned that weekend in India in anticipation of the ...
