Imagine riding a drunken camel across uneven sand. Barf bags have been deployed and for some reason regular passengers have left for the back of the "State of the art" watercraft. You may have seen if you saw Sean Connery in Casino Royal. I'm sure it's not as rough as say the Hecate straight or the open water off cape Scott but like anywhere the greatest force you encounter is your own fear. Suliman the great amassed a 200,000 man army and attacked Rhodes. I'm ...

No one seems to be able to spell the name Fethiye twice in a row the same way. (Lisa has found us a top floor suite complete with a decent sized balcony with a humming bird filled giant bougainvillea. I mean giant. Its a beautiful apartment/hotel and we have 4 days here @ CDN $35 per night.) It's a city by the sea. Levelled by an earthquake in 1957. I thought I could feel something in my crib. Ok. I can't get anything done. ...

Our Captain described Mamaris as having one of the seven best natural harbours in the world. He was right - a circular enclosed bay, surrounded by treed mountains, a fjord. Due to its beauty, and sheltered anchorage, it is the winter home for many Mediterranean sailing ships. Beautiful sailboats from all over the world, plus many mahogany sailboats in the Turkish style (high pointed bows). It reminded us of the Cook Straight in NZ as you enter South Island and sail along ...

... at I type this. Its half past midnight, and I have been listening to music for the last two hours just lying on the deck under my blankets, drinking beer, alone with my thoughts. Tonight was not a bad dinner night, I have become quite good acquaintances with the 60 plus couples. Now who would have thought? But of course, all of them them went to sleep at 10 pm. I am friends with the french girl now. I was hoping she would ...
