So, after the ubiquitous post sleeper bus snooze it was time for a wander round Da Lat. Brunch at a cafe down the road to start, and after a brief squint at the Lying (sic) Planet we headed up the hill towards the market area. Things are so much less hectic here, crossing the road was certainly a lot easier, and required modification of the Saigonese technique due in most part to the lower level of traffic! ...

... places and the other day...while taking some reflexology Australian man, popped his head in the door....and a real quiet tone.."Can I get a special massage"? She looked up and said..."Sorry...we don't do special massage here"! She looked at me and we had a good laugh.....apparently...."Special Massages"..are alive and in all of these Asian countries.
I will be sorry to leave Da Lat..for it ...

We continued our walk with them for a bit, but eventually they went on ahead as every time we got into a serious discussion with Loc, he would stop to give us his full attention. The Valley of Love was out next stop. It's popular with Vietnamese newlyweds, with it's rolling hills, lakes and beautiful gardens. The kids like the 'western' cowboys with their fake guns and tall hats. It was a wonderful visit and very calming place to spend time. There are plenty of places to picnic or swing in a hammock to pass the time. Or, hire a paddle boat to play ...
