... was similar but the sand was an orangey red. I enjoyed having a go at sliding down the dunes on a sheet of plastic - even if I did get a mouthful of sand!!! That evening we went for a more traditional Vietnamese dinner and opted to have a few fish dishes as we were by the sea. It was pretty tasty. I'm still not sure what type of fish we had! The menus tend to just say steamed fish or grilled fish and not specify a type! The restaurant was full of a big group ...

When I was feeling 100% we walked up to the outside of the town and got the cable car up through the hills - it was completely beautiful. Probably the greatest ride we will have do, twisting turns blazing through the mountains. Up to an amazing rural town of dalat. Air so much cooler up here. Stayed at backpackers paradise, probably the best hostel stayed at some far. Great staff and atmosphere. ... next day we'd planned to find some waterfalls, but the rain continued, unrelentingly and as we were on a tight schedule, decided to head straight to Ho Chi Minh City. Another 6-7 hour bus ride and we were there. So I think I'd like DaLat and canyoning is meant to be amazing but for us it was cold and wet and due to time constraints we couldn't really stay.
