... family disapprove of her talking to western men in her business. She is not married. Emma spotted a Samoyed fluffball Direwolf, who decided that he would help with her "you're so fluffy I could die" exclamation. A little shaken but not bitten, thankfully. We sat at the roadside where the local men sip warm milk. We picked soy, the other options were peanut, or corn. Our guide left us at a backpacker bar where Denmark helped two unsteady Aussie girls fall over ...

I like Dalat in a strange way. It's a quirky place for sure. At times it hardly feels like it's in Vietnam due to the French influence. It looks a lot like an alpine resort, those style of buildings,a bit like the Cameron Highlands did in Malaysia. Yes it is very touristy but mainly with the Vietnamese. ... It was slightly out of the city center, but easily within walking distance (well, we don't mind walking, so maybe it was 20 mins from the main part of town, 30 to the main market area.) The weather was so nice our room didn't have air-con or a fan, and we didn't even need it. What a nice change! That said, it was still about 80 degrees during the day, but it beats 100!

We headed out for some food and went to the busy ...

... We were also thankful of the drop in temperature in the hills as the day would have been much harder in the sweltering heat. We started off with practicing basic rope and abseiling skills and then quickly moved on to our 5 challenges for the day; a dry 15m vertical cliff face abseil, then a natural water slide, then a 25m waterfall which we abseiled straight down the middle followed by a 6m jump off a cliff into water and finally the infamous washing machine abseil, so called ...
