Our time in Milan has now come to an official end, but that means that our time in Venice has just begun! We took our cute little fiat across from Milan to Venice, a short three hour drive away. Getting out of the city was hectic, because we could not complete one turn without the GPS telling us it was recalculating. Finally we made it onto the …

The Basilica of San Marco was stood opposite us as we reached the square. It's such a stunning Byzantine building with its spires, domes, columns and arches. It really catches the eye. The marble statues and real golden mosaics glitter ...

... and cover charge is different. We went to another one for dinner the next day and it says no cover charge and we thought it meant no extra charges and ended up again with a 32.50 € dinner. Not so clever.

The last day, after spending so much for the last 2 dinner, we decide to check tripadvisor. We found Alberto's pasta shop in a small corner near our hotel and went to check it out. Their pasta are all made by themselves and they charge 6€ for a portion ...
