... decided that it would be a good idea to try and find the starting location so we could do it tomorrow. However, no one ever mentioned to me that Venice is like a maze and it is virtually impossible to walk around the streets without getting lost. We literally wandered around aimlessly for well over an hour before we accidentally stumbled across the square which is the starting location for the free tour! We checked on the rising water on the waterfront (yes, it was higher than last night), but we were not prepared to get as wet tonight as we did last night (although the street vendors were, no surprise, ready for us with disposable water boots for a good price!). ... with the engine, still, it would be nice if people did shuffle and talked a tiny bit more. This particular drive I'm still coming to grips with the way in which everything just escalated over the past two days. We are in a campsite with rooms of two, I get the sign in sheet near the front and jot down my name with Ganzer, I want to give Wasp and Jack the opportunity to room together so they can swap with Nicole and Myriam, plus Jack snores, who needs that drama?

... spot of shopping after this. I have bought the most amazing (well I think so obviously!) Murano glass necklace. To me there is just too much glass around and it is all the same. I came across this gallery close to The Accademia bridge that had quite unique work. I got talking to the artist who actually made the piece and he actually gave me his working drawing for the piece - how nice was that!! I had a couple of hours to fill in before I was ...
