    ... the Basilica and Michelle was suitably impressed with the amazing gold mosaics covering the entire ceiling. It really is quite amazing in there with the light streaming through the windows making the mosaics glow.     ... and Burano. Torcello didn't really have anything to do except a nature walk and an old church so our visit there was very short. But Burano had canals lined with vibrantly painted houses and a bunch of cute little shops. I really enjoyed walking around the second island!
