    ... extremely colorful.

The weather was stunning, hot and clear and we decided to
spoil ourselves with a Pizza in the sun at one of the many restaurants.

And then back onto the train for the return trip to Sion and
our camp where we spent the late afternoon swimming in the local lake and
    sucking on a few “frosties”.

    Our first real “RELAXING DAY”.

... of the mountain reflected in a small lake called the Rifflesee. At first glimpse the Matterhorn was impressive but largely shrouded in clouds; but the surrounding snow-capped ranges around it were far more appealing and magnificent. They were so picture perfect with the contrasting green of the hillsides in the foreground. Once sated with those views we walked the short way down to the Rifflesee and waited for the clouds to move away from the top ...

    stunning.

And so back to our patiently waiting bikes and back to camp
for a well-deserved beer and supper of braaied chicken wings……with skin.

Swiss meat is funny. None of it has fat. All the fat from
every cut is removed by the butcher and one cannot buy any meat in the shops
that has fat on it. Very sad state of affairs, and so we buy chicken with skin
on it so as to satisfy our craving for delicious cooked animal fat.

... back at 2pm as they were shutting shop for afternoon siesta..that is just really bad customer service. Not being able to complete the mission we did some grocery shopping and went back to camp for lunch. Rich and I stayed behind when Chris and Jan left again to sort the battery out and we went for a swim, well a good attempt by me. My back couldn't handle the position of swimming so we both made use of our inflatable rings we had bought weeks ago. I didn't last long as ...

... bridge! then a ladder and one more bridge until I could step down to a giant rock. And all with a backpack on! Yikes, it was a bit exciting!

The scenery getting there was awesome, as was the scenery leaving and getting to our end town of Arolla. We saw a herd of Chamonix (deer like mammal) today which was cool. We also saw the famous Matterhorn ( mountain) for the first time. Woo hoo, it was a great day!
