      ... us up. We took the Gornergrat train up to almost 3000m (almost 9000ft). From there we walked approx 10 minutes to the Iglu village.     • I found the ticket machine and struggled for a couple of seconds wondering why it would not let me pay. Some guy saw me and pressed the button for "pay by cash" then it finally took my money. He wanted me to give him a tip afterwards. I waved him away. Thinking back I probably should have given him something. I think he was homeless.
