... much at all was imported. Stone, glass, silver, paintings, linen, carvings, furniture...it went on and on. We were able to buy some cool stuff and enjoy our time there. Lunch was surved at the recommended suckling pig seated on a grass mat at a little table where we could not fit our legs. Very cool atmosphere and good pig. Nice city with lots of temples, spa, and good resturants amoung all the normal Bali goings on.

I hate to keep going back to this detail ...

... apply for a month's extension when we still have over three weeks left - they don't tack it onto the end, they add it to the date you apply which would mean we would only get a week's extension. What the guy advises us to do, when he learns our long range travel plan, is to renew it at an immigration office in one of several cities further east.

With that bit of info in our brains our next move is to plan our get-out from Bali. Meanwhile we gradually get a handle on Kuta. ...

... Mang Engking (Name of owner). This place was very special indeed and sits on a lake. Each table is like a little house sitting just over the edge of the water. It reminded me of the hotels in French Polynesia that were built over the sea. It was some setting and after looking at the menu I knew it was going to be my kind of place. - at få vekslet min 100dollar seddel til mindre penge (til at betale for vores overstay i lufthavnen) af venlig mand, som ...
