Our first full day in Yogyakarta started with a complimentary breakfast downstairs. We then spent a couple hours in the room figuring out what we were going to check out for the day and making a quick call to Martin's parents. Once we were ready to head out we made our way to the Sultan's Palace. We learned when we got there that it's only open to visitors in the mornings so we weren't able to go in. Instead we made our way to the Tugu Monument to check ...

My driver did not speak much English so I guess she just wanted to make sure I understood. After an hour of rush hour traffic, one toll booth, 2 stop to ask others where my hotel was, we arrived. 100,000Rupiah (including airport exit toll) later £7 I think. I ...

... walkers and throughout our day of walking we surprisingly did not come across much to explore. Once finished with our long, exhausting, walk we took a cab back to our hotel and while driving the cabby would point out different museums and points of interest to us. "Huh? That's funny." We thought. "That's a museum? It looks like a run down corporate office and I don't see any signs..." We should of had a city map but we were not provided one at the hotel when we asked for ...
