    ... watched them crawl into a trash can to grab a plastic tin of yogurt and lick the tin clean. They then grabbed a bottle of water and shook it dry of any remaining moisture. It was one of the most heart breaking things we have seen. So we went inside and got them each a package of crackers and each a bottle of water. These kids literally jumped up and down with joy. At home kids would complain to have to drink water as opposed to juice or soda, not the kids ...

    After a stroll along the wide promenade overlooking the River Mersey and Liverpool we called in at The Magazine Hotel which is one of the oldest pubs on the Wirral with its building dating back to 1759. We then continued onto the more more modern shopping and dining area located on the seafront housing the likes of Morrison's, Home Bargains, La Tasca and Starbucks to name but a ...

    ... our hotel quite easily and checked in. This is the only hotel where we have to pay for parking - however, when we check out we are entitled to a 20% discount on the parking. The car is parked a block away at the parking building attached to the Liverpool Football Club arena. The hotel is situated at Albert Dock in a former warehouse. The Albert Dock area has been transformed into a fabulous tourist precinct with restaurants, museums and pedestrian areas.

The post game transport options were crowded and lacking so I decided to try and walk off the beers, curry wurst and chips so I made the 5km walk back into town.
