    Diving Mexico

Today we dived with two middle aged / proper old couples who came completly kitted out with their own gear. One woman had a bi focal dive mask. Hardcore. We picked thenm up further down the coast. The waterfront is choc full of big complexes. Closer to town there is no beach so they terminate on unattractive decking, before a drop into the sea. Swimming sections are roped off and often have kids infaltable assault courses. I assume, whilst ...

I had just missed the ferry, so I bought a ticket for the next one, which left an hour later. Strangely they opened the Check-In 30min before the actual departure. But about 5min after boarding we took off. That was really strange, as there were still a lot of people waiting, but I think they had a space problem. Not on the boat, because we were only 30 persons on a 500+ ...

Our second dive was even more disappointing. This wasnīt a wall dive so we didnīt even see the nice corals; it was just swimming in a big tank with great visibility, no marine life at all except for some big parrotfish in the end.

Overall we would say Cozumel Island is an okay place to dive, having wonderful visibility and corals but no marine life. Since for us marine life is what we like the most we couldnīt say that it was a ...

... our photos from the snorkeling tour and have dinner. All week Bobbie had been big noting about how much better her photos will be than mine and had even made it into a competition. Once we picked up the photos we didn't check them, we headed to La Parrilla a restaurant chain we fell in love with back in Merida for dinner. To Bobbies disappointment her photos were not as good as her talk and mine were a little better. We enjoyed a meal and a few beers at ...
