    ... the city of Lecce. We quickly discovered that it's almost ghost town like during the day, the people of Lecce are def night owls. We did our traditional visit to the town's cathedral, pretty as always. We also had a mighty tasty pasta lunch. We quickly ran out of things to see and returned back to our hosts.     ... returned to Cisternino and found the fresh fish shop, the man was just about to open and he started to put up all his fish and squid and mussels etc. talk about fresh!
    I bought two nice whole fish for dinner and some shelled raw mussels. Well I made some mussel fritters for the entree and fried the whole fish with seasoning and fresh basil for our main. Both a success story with a nice salad!!

    ... we found another one around the corner and booked in there for 8.15 pm and made our way back to our cafe for a bottle of prosecco before dinner. I ordered a secondi course of veal as Neil did with mushrooms, and Helen had a pasta, but I really didn't enjoy the veal, think I will stick to pastas. The food in the South is very different to the Northern fare, and I think so far I prefer the Northern Italian food.

    Back to the trulli cottage, and so to bed.

    Fast sail all the way over to Otranto and even had the fun of Dolphins playing at the helm. Busy shipping lanes overnight kept us all on our toes and Eric plenty of time to practise his lights. Winds were so favourable we headed on South to M.Saint Di Leuca still arriving by 3pm in time for a cocktail on shore before getting Ellis already for next early departure ...
