Well
here we are watching Wimbledon tennis and dreaming of our trip. We
both decided shortly after being made redundant that we would do some
extended travelling al la 'Grey Gap Year' before we get too old and
knackered. We are planing to go through Singapore, New Zealand,
Australia, Thailand ...
Off we go!
... we made our way against the crowd on the tube to the Barbican. We didn't get as many hacky stares as I initially thought.
We had our last dinner on British soil for the next 6 months - good old Pizza Express - and even managed to get a voucher in for old times sakes! We both ate well that night, especially Sally, as the upcoming cuisine played on her mind!
After a good nights sleep we were up early(ish) to head ...
London adventures
... jubilee celebrations, lunched at the Hard Rock Cafe then walked to Harrods where Narell left me to my own devices and I wandered Harrods marvelling at the opulence and sheer indulgence some people work in and visit everyday, spoiled myself to some of my fave perfume and continued walking back past Buckingham palace and on the train back to hotel for some feet up time. OMG just remembered that yesterday I saw one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life! Was a nude ...

... have the photos online too :D The exhibition was recommended to us by a girl who we got the tickets from in London, because she had said that it was easy to walk right by it and miss it. We're glad we saw it, because it was excellent :) Next, we went into some state rooms and saw some nice furniture and paintings, including some by Rembrandt.
