First on this trip, Angie and I had a few days to recover ( and defrost from the Canberra/Melbourne winter) in Paris with Kate. Alan still toughing it out at home for a couple of weeks as he has a concert to play. Flew to Lisbon for a great week there. What a fabulous city! So relaxed and laid back.....but I feel sorry for the older residents.....how on earth do they negotiate the hills in the centre of town. ...

... bottle of wine (2 euros 89!!) and have nibbles. By the time we finished drinking, eating nibbles and watching the bats and storks flying by it was getting gloomy. Nobody was really hungry so went to the sea front to watch the sunset and have an icecream.

Good start to the day and set our course for Portugal stopping off for a lunch stop at Isla Cristina, which is a bustling fishing port and town. They have good facilities for the fleet; plenty space. ... air we asked to be moved and Manuel agrees to move us inside. A short stint on the resuscitator and we are good to go. Nice lunch. My birthday! We took the ferry and headed for Vila Real San Antonio (on the Portuguese side) in search of a special final Portuguese lunch but didn't manage to find exactly what we were after so headed back to Ayamonte for some tapas.
