    ... arrived!

Thought I was lucky getting a bus back direct to "do Balsa" (the ferry) rather than changing in Vila – what they don’t tell you, is, like on the way there, it goes to every corner in the hinterland of them there hills – it was an excruciating hot and packed and sticky ride but just made the very slow 5pm ferry. ... over & watched me safely in the door having seen him approach!

It was OK but the high location of the fan meant I had to take the top bunk, not at easy task with slippery synthetic sheets and no ladder. Late arrival meant all the supermarkets with cold beer had shut, so forced to pay double price at the petrol station, but was really ready for it after that hideous day of nearly 14 hours on the roads with heavy rain, lightning, ***** seatmates and smelly loo ...

The week consisted of lots of games and swimming and my personal favorite paddle ball in the pool.

Firstly, I was using a combination lock which I had set the code for. Secondly, this code can be changed by pulling ...

... down to the swimming pool that was sat on the rocks above the ocean, it really was amazing.

Over the next few days Sam and Renato showed us around the nighbouring area which was just spectacular. It had all the beauty of Thailand and South East Asia but with the waves of the Atlantic and the culture of Latin America. It was now the knock out stages of the tournament and since Renato ...
