... and limited to pastry or pizza at 5pm, but I found Brasserie La Loggia near the station that had a full menu all day.
Walked in to order a pasta and was amazed and delighted that they also had a display case full of Belgian, German, Dutch and other quality beers.
Had a La Trappe with my bolognese. Even though it's made in the Netherlands it was still a good tripel.
Was ready to go after that but ...
... white sheets separating the large room into two spaces. My bed was in the back room, where I would sleep alone for a few days. The other two women, a 32 yr. old Canadian slept in the front room with the Slovenian woman and a 60yr. old Austrian had the private room on the other side of the bathroom.
I put my stuff down, excited to stay in one place for longer than three days. Mira, the woman from Slovenia, was preparing food in the kitchen. I sat ...
11.27.09 A Quicky, Sicky Day Trip To Pisa
So… Murray and I woke up this morning, both feeling a bit off (Murray again – me still). It is the WORST thing to be traveling when you're sick – and stomach stuff is the pits… We grabbed some toast at our hotel breakfast buffet, and ultimately, decided that we could power on for our planned day trip to Pisa – in retrospect, probably not a great idea!

... whatever we wanted from that room... This was at 3pm too, not like we arrived at some weird hour.
The "dorm" was just an apartment with 6 beds in 1 room, a kitchen and 4 beds in the room joined to the kitchen with no door between - check out the photos on facebook.
Glad we booked the cheaper 6 bed dorm and not the more expensive 4 bed!!!
Found out later that day they have another "dorm" downstairs with a 6 bed room and a double bed in ...
... and I had a wonderful 50th. Everyone sang to me in the small restaurant. Thank you everyone for following us and keeping us close with your wonderful comments. To sign off I will say that.....

... very shy at the moment, but hopefully she'll come out of here shell a bit more once she's a little bit more used to the site. There is a kids club here and an evening disco for the kids, so Jess is in her element. We hardly see her all day as she is off on her bike with her new friend exploring the campsite. Pete is loving our new Conad supermarket. It is like our British delicatessences (I'm not sure if I've spelt that right), but on a larger scale. He is in heaven ...
Cecina, Tuscany, Italy goughfamilyinpa... muddy and it turns out that they close some of them because of the risk of landslide....we didn't know this so when we came across a locked gate, the boys thought it was smart to scale it and keep going! Luckily we didn't run into any landslides and we made it to the next village okay after jumping another fence. We stopped at each village for some local wine and to look out at the beautiful countryside/vineyards/ocean/city -- it was pretty surreal! We ...
Cinque Terre, Italy kelseylynnWow! The trip is going so fast. I'm in information overload and I have cankles like Hillary Clinton. UGH!! I'm glad I took the quick overview of Italy. Now that I've seen Pisa, Verona, Venice, Capri, and Pompeii, I know I can come back and focus my time on Florence/Tuscany/Chianti and maybe another quick trip back down to Rome to see The Sistine Chapel (about 3 hrs. away). Off to Pisa. I saw cruise ships in Naples, Pisa, and ...
Pisa, Italy tvmedSaved by the Medicis So, we planned another of our crazy hikes. This time we were taking in 30kms of Tuscany's vineyards, hills, and medieval towns. A train and bus ride took us to the most visited of Tuscany's hill towns, San Gimignano. Featuring 14 towers, another fresco of the Last Judgment, and perhaps the best gelato in Italy. We were early enough to share our bus with 20 pre-teens on their way to school. The bus driver enjoyed only opening the back door ...
