... Didn't get much sleep last night, as to be expected I guess, as most of the excitement I've not quite had so far seemed to hit me all in one go - with full force - at around 1am this morning, handily just as I was about to go to get my head down.

... day and how they knew so much about the sun, moon and stars!
Cancun was the last stop on our organized tour, talk about reverse culture shock! It was so american and reminded me of Las Vegas! Big, loud and over the top, very contrasting to the quaint and cultured towns we had spent the last two weeks in. Was very overwhelming so we escaped with a day trip to Island Mujeres, absolutely beautiful! I'm not usually into lying on the beach doing nothing, but for just one ...

... also live music played by a guy with a guitar, clowns making balloon hats and a very drunk Canadian man asked us to sign his shirt. We had a good night and didn't go overboard with the drinks. Everything in the hotel zone is double the price of anywhere else in Mexico so you need to watch the spending. We got drenched with rain trying to get a bus on the way home and ended up having to get a taxi. We went to bed hoping the rain would be cleared by ...
