... and perfect it was hard to believe they were all made by hand. Each glass was worth over 150 euros! That was just for the cheap ones! Nice to look at but not to buy! Next we went to Burano the Island of lacemaking. Unfortunately we didn't see it being made but there were lots of examples of it, again very expensive! After a coffee and a wander, we headed back to Venice to St Marko Square. The square was a hive of activity with lots ...

And people seem so relaxed and nice. Definitely not like most of the Italians in Australia (referring to the typical teens). We had a great day! I wish we hadn't fallen asleep though but hopefully tomorrow there will not be as much water and we can get out and about! Overall we had another awesome ...

      ... in altitude.

The 36 hour vaporetto tickets we purchased yesterday came in handy to help us avoid the crowded avenues of Venice, that is when the vaporettos weren't so full that we could use them. I had a map to find our way around. I had two actually. Eleven total if you include the vaporetto maps—a complicated system at first glance, but we got it figured out. There are so many streets in Venice that are so short you can't print the names small enough to fit the marking ...
