Another not so great at hotel melograno here in Venice. We will see if this will post. We have had a good time so far in Venice. Immediately upon arrival we paid for a map from tourist information (instead of opting for the hotel version). This is because they have so many little streets you can not even begin to fit them on a regular sized sheet so this map is huge. We also got a three day vaparetto ( water bus) pass. Another travel tip here is to realise its open until 8:30 pm so I avoided the tourist crush, did the basilica the upper levels are only for the fairly mobile, walked around San Marco, went down to giardino area then the lido and got back for about 8pm. After mass we started our maze through the ever winding streets of Venice to find St. Mark's Basilica. We went through a variety of different markets, shops, and even stopped for lunch at a local's favorite. I, of course, got pizza, Mom had pasta, and Dad had chicken, again! We also stopped at a famous bakery and got plenty of sweets for our dessert. Masquerade masks are also very well ...

... The girls made this comment and I reassured them that they would say thanks but not appreciate the value of the gift. We had lunch there and thank goodness it was 10€. We had pasta, a glass of wine with espresso. I thought the pasta wasn't fresh, it was packaged. It was tasty but I was expecting it to be fresh pasta. The wine was ok and the expresso I had with 2 sugar sachets. We took the next boat to San Lucia and slowly made our way back home. Poor Jasmine had blistered by ...
