Backwater villages canoe trip
Collected from hotel at 130 and headed off for a 40min taxi ride to the backwater river we were to see. The traffic here really is amazing! ... of ungentlemanly ( and a similar lot of ungentle-womanly) behaviour here. It`s just greed I suppose, a fear that the food will disappear in front of their very eyes unless the passenger can get to it first.
And it definitely works. There is a marked decrease in frenzy, by far the majority of the passengers do queue, and everything magically slows down considerably. No one is seeking perfection or total order, for that would be foolish and is definitely unattainable.

Tourist after tourist after tourist
... walked along the front by the Chinese fishing nets, got called onto one of the shacks and spent some time with them talking and pulling up the net with them! every three minutes ten hours a day, hearing the banter going on between the different net crews was fun to see, not so different from home!
Claire tried paneer tikka and I had murg malai tikka, pretty good but still.hunting ...
