So many cities, so little time
... which we thought was around 3.5 miles from the station, but it was most definitely not. Unless our driver was either confused or was taking us on a faux tour. But whatever! We made it, stored our luggage (check in wasn't til 4pm) and headed out to the Louvre. When we got there, we entered through the palace and took in some of it's beauty for a while before heading to the entrance of the museum.. which of course "is closed on Tuesday" for whatever reason. Roma luck
... a huge crowd of people walking the same place we are. Then, we find a line, so so many people crowded around everywhere. It is half a mile away from the door. Finally when we get to the Vatican, we are 20 min late, but we can go on a guided your of the museum, but no the basilica. The guide was very good. But the museum was super crowded. ... pizza know how to do it best! The big difference from North America is that all the pizzas are thin crust. In addition, they don't overdo the toppings. These pizzas are much lighter than back home, and much easier on the stomach.

Lock of love
... very Australian and insisted that the gents selling them were only going to rip us off but the sad puppy dog eyes made me cave. We went over to purchase one from the guys on the side of the bridge, because of course there’s 10 or more of them selling padlocks, and found they weren’t that bad after all. €3 a pop and you could lock your love on the bridge forever. Seemed a fair deal! We bought a nice little shiny padlock and wrote our names and the date ...
