... purse, a few additional souvenirs and I think we were done. Poor Andy wanted to kills us by the time we left, he was very patient waiting outside the shops for us….I think we owe him a drink or 10.

We left Amalia, caught the tube back to our previous hotel, grabbed our bags and started what we didn’t realize was going to be a very long journey to our airport hotel. We had to catch 3 tubes and 1 train to get to the actual airport. We had a bite to eat ...

One is Gordon's Wine Bar, which is in a basement next to Charing Cross station. It was opened in 1890, and you are down in a dark cellar, lit by candles. We had some great wine. Another find was a place called The Sampler. You load a card with money, and then insert it into a wine ...

... bit of London.

We enjoyed a nice evening visiting Temple Church and having excellent fish and chips at Poppies. Yum!

When Dad and Heather went back to the hotel, I made my way to the National Portrait Gallery to see paintings of Kings and Queens.
