Our day today consisted of a guided tour around the old city of Dusseldorf. We saw the longest pub and saw other buildings of historical significance. ... The choice for Hong Kong, then, was easily made.
And so last December, it all started. I submitted my application (after checking and re-writing it about 1000 times), made it through the interview and results day. I sent my visa application, bought the tickets and got the necessary vaccinations. And now my suitcases are packed and I've said my good-byes. I pinch myself and realize this is not a dream - it's really happening!

... high end and low end..... And guess what today was the day Rob bought my replacement engagement ring.... It's beautiful, big and unusual...I love it. (of course there is a picture).
So now I was happy, we had lunch at a little bar (which was like a maize inside).... Rob had black pudding with apple mashed potatoes and fried onion and I had Mettwurst, Sauerkraut and mashed potato. SO yummy.
Back to the boat for our Ritual nap and push off and head ...
... Our tour ended with a walk past many of Amsterdam's "coffee shops" and even at 10.00am you could smell that very distinctive smell! We started cruising in the afternoon and the countryside looks wonderful - very flat, but very productive. Tonight was our welcome dinner - only six courses, but everything was delicious. Off at 8 am up the Motorway to our appointment at 9 am, really trusting this sat nav and took us right to the farm. Meet with 2 dutch growers that seem to run a grower co-op that supplies PepsiCo. The growers were really nice and talked freely about their crop and management. The area is really interesting and was 1.5 m below the water before it was drained in the 1930's. Their crop look good and ...
