... Stonegarth in Keswick. It is a lovely B and B. The bathroom has a spa bath and walk in shower and the mirror becomes a TV - haven't seen this before. We had a cup of coffee and then went for a walk into Keswick. We found a map which showed it would take us a while to walk to the lake known as Derwent Water so we turned around and went to an Italian restaurant, Casa Bella, for a pizza. Just arrived at Newport and enjoying the scenery outside the window - cows. They exist here in ...
Accommodation was at Bramaskew Farm, a genuine family owned farm so comfortable and welcoming we would have loved to stay longer. As we arrived Janet our host was heading down to feed the chooks and we sampled their produce the next morning in the form of beautifully poached eggs. Our boots were dried near the fire overnight and we had a lovely home-cooked meal.
